Spend Valentine’s weekend learning about relevant topics to the LGBT community, including business, healthcare and wellness, human rights, spirituality, civic engagement, and life planning impacting the community on local, national, and international levels.
On Feb. 14 and 15, the 2nd annual 4Ward Americas LGBTQI Human Rights, Business Expo and Life Symposium takes place at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
The business expo and life symposium features two days of speakers, workshops, and panel discussions. During the event, attendees will be able to interact with representatives from international chambers of commerce, local government, healthcare providers and advisors, and many other local businesses and organizations providing services and outreach specific to the LGBT community.
“The 4Ward Miami Human Rights and Business Symposium is an exemplar of how human rights issues are a part of every aspect of our lives. It also highlights how the LGBT community is cross-cutting because we are a part of many segments of society in race, class, faith, and gender,” said Orlando Gonzales, Executive Director of the SAVE Foundation. “We have a deep interest in matters of faith, health, and healthcare, business, and entrepreneurship, as well as our deep-rooted tradition of civic engagement and responsibility. Anyone that considers themselves a life-long learner, a lover of life, should consider being a part of the symposium’s rich program.”
The first day of the expo is Friday, Feb. 14. Events on Friday and Saturday run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets for both days are $125. They cost $90 for Miami Beach residents and $50 for students and seniors. Tickets include lunches and refreshments throughout the event in addition to a closing reception from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday.
