Rescued from a closet in Orlando, an educational HIV/AIDS exhibit has new life in Wilton Manors.

The World AIDS Museum (WAM) is adding its own high-profile event to South Florida’s social calendar.

The World AIDS Museum and Educational Center (WAM) announced that on March 8 they will be opening the doors of their new exhibit; AIDS Crisis in America: 30 Years of ACT UP - A Convergence of Disease, Art and Human Resilience.

Inside the World AIDS Museum and Educational Center in Wilton Manors is a space devoted to legendary advocacy group ACT UP.

As the COVID-19 pandemic unfolded last spring and summer, the board of directors and staff of the World AIDS Museum and Education Center (WAM) made the decision to move from a Wilton Manors mixed-use apartment community to a larger, more prominent location in Fort Lauderdale.
