It’s getting nasty in Palm Springs.

Palm Springs has a long storied history with a being a destination for LGB travelers, especially for gay Hollywood. Over the last century gay men from Los Angles have found a quiet oasis in this desert city.

Palm Springs in California will be experiencing a political shift after Tuesday night’s election. Lisa Middleton, an openly trans woman, along with Christy Holstege, who identifies as bisexual, will be joining joining gay councilmembers Geoff Kors, J.R. Roberts and Harold Matzner on the council.

Palm Springs was the site of a brutal attack on Sunday when two prominent gay residents were beaten because they are gay. The attack on married couple George and Chris Zander is being investigated by police as a felony hate crime.
