This year's Miami Beach Pride celebration was marked by perfect sunshine weather, and rainbows in the forms of flags in a sea of thousands of LGBT South Florida locals, out-of-towners and community allies.

Next month will be three years since four men were arrested for attacking a gay couple after the closing festivities of Miami Beach Pride.

Miami Beach Gay Pride is handing its grand marshaling duties over to an intern.

Miami Beach Gay Pride donated $7,500 to the Point Foundation, the nation’s largest scholarship-granting organization for LGBT students. This is the second year Miami Beach Gay Pride has made a donation to the organization.

The annual Miami Gay Beach Pride kicks off April 3rd at City Hall in Miami Beach with the raising of a rainbow flag and the annual Miss Miami Beach Gay Pride Pageant and Silent Auction event that takes place at Score nightclub on Washington Avenue.

The Miami Beach Gay Pride group kicks off their Miami Beach Gay Pride 2017 campaign January, 20 from 7:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. with their fourth annual VIP “Soirée By The Sea,” cocktail reception being held to raise funds that will help produce the upcoming 2017 Pride parade and festival. The VIP event will take place at the Marriott Biscayne Bay, and will alsoinclude a birthday celebration for “Soirée By The Sea,” emcee, NBC6's Roxanne Vargas.

In March and April an attorney representing the state sounded confident he’d be able to reach a plea deal with the four men accused of attacking a gay couple after Miami Beach Pride in 2018 before the next court hearing in August.
