It’s that time of the year when the majority of the country is snowed in, miserable, and cooped up watching Christmas specials on T.V. Unlike the 47 states that actually experience season change (Hawaii and California, you’re omitted from this list), Florida is always ready to party in scandalous outfits, no matter what the holiday.

Just a few days before Christmas, the holiday music playing on the radio, and one song always makes me stop, think and appreciate how blessed I am. 

A merry band of local drag queens -- known in their community as the Dream Queens, charitable drag entertainers with hearts of gold -- performed a Christmas miracle on Christmas Eve for homeless children at the Chapman Partnership in Homestead.

The city’s Christmas tree is still up, but Wilton Manors resident Jaclyn St. James is already thinking about making next year’s tree better.
