The Miami-Dade Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (MDGLCC) is one of the largest and most active business chambers of its kind in South Florida. On Friday, Feb. 28join us for a Networking Breakfast with Dale Carnegie Training entitled "Sell more in 2014.” At this interactive and engaging seminar participants will learn how to: sell with increased confidence, connect quickly and easily with prospects and customers, build relationships so prospects and clients want to talk about their interests, understand the power of following a sales process, understand how a positive attitude contributes to sales results, incorporate best practices for results oriented appointments.

When it comes to networking events there are a multitude of options. So much so, that one can easily attend breakfasts, luncheons and happy hours — pushing and pulling business cards nearly every day of the week. It’s no small feat that the GLBX Council has once again, been voted “Best LGBT Networking” by SFGN readership. The Gay and Lesbian Business Exchange [GLBX], a Council of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce, is Broward County’s premier support for Gay and Lesbian owned businesses as well as gay-friendly businesses.

The city of Oakland Park is erecting 14 signs around the city announcing to visitors and residents that all are welcome.

The 4^th Annual Pink Flamingo Awards, one of South Florida’s most fun and entertaining events, will return to Jungle Island on Thursday, September 22^nd. A benefit for the LGBT Visitor Center on Miami Beach, the Pink Flamingo Awards honor people, places and organizations that have demonstrated a level of excellence in the South Florida community throughout the year.
