Chita Rivera

An evening of music with two-time Tony Award winner Chita Rivera performing songs from her legendary Broadway career in her own concert Chita Rivera: My Broadway.

Ms. Rivera will be accom­panied by an 11-piece orchestra and will perform selections from her most celebrated musicals, including numbers from West Side Story (“America”), Sweet Charity (“Where Am I Going?” and “Big Spender”), and Chicago (“All That Jazz” and “Nowadays”). Royal Ballet Gala

Ballet Etudes Company is rounding off its 2009-2010 season with excerpts from three great ballet classics! The program will feature the Balcony Scene from Romeo and Juliet, Don Quixote Grand Suite, and Act III from The Sleeping Beauty.

Don Quixote Grand Suite will be a shortened version of the original three-act ballet.

Act III from The Sleeping Beauty depicts the wedding of Aurora to Prince Florimund. This act includes the well-known Fairy Pas de Trois, the dance of “Puss in Boots and the White Cat,” and the Bluebird Pas de Deux which will be performed by Taís Diana and Alysson Rocha. April 17 – 18 at the Miramar Cultural Center/Arts Park. Tickets start at $20.
