It’s time again to “Deck the Halls” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas!” Three area gay men’s choruses are ringing in the holiday season with programs of festival music.
Requiem masses for the dead are not generally joyous musical compositions, but a new commission by the Gay Mens Chorus of South Florida pairs an uplifting contemporary example of the genre with equally inspired Broadway show tunes and pop music.
In addition to parties and parades, this year’s traditional pride festivities will also include concerts by the Fort Lauderdale Gay Men’s Chorus and the Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida.
