  • Chamber Chat: GLBX’s Artopia Event Raises Funds For 'Our Night Out'

    The Gay & Lesbian Business Exchange group of the Greater For Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce held their annual Artopia Event on Sept. 24, 2016. The event was a success raising $9,000 for the new initiative “Our Night Out” which is organized by the Stonewall National Museum & Archives, Island City Stage, and the Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida. This new initiative is organized by these three groups to help promote gay arts and culture. The money served as matching funds for a Knight Foundation Grant.

    Artopia, the annual arts fundraiser presented by the Gay and Lesbian Business Exchange (GLBX) of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce, returns to NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale this Saturday and is bigger than ever.

    If you haven’t noticed, The Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce’s Gay and Lesbian Business Exchange Council (GLBX) has a new logo. It builds on the “parent” logo of the overall Chamber maintaining the general theme by using the same colors and complementary fonts. In fact, the distinguishing elements of the GLBX Council were simply added to the base logo without tainting the original or detracting from it.

  • Young “America’s Got Talent” Phenoms to Headline GLBX Arts Event

    Emil and Dariel Rockellos, the teenage rock cello sensation known as “Rockcellos” will be the featured performers at Artopia, the annual arts fundraising gala presented by the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce Gay and Lesbian Business Exchange (GLBX), this Friday at the NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale.
