A French man said he and his boyfriend were attacked by six men after leaving a nightclub on Nov. 10. A bloody selfie one of the men posted on Facebook has since gone viral, according to RTL.fr (via the Advocate).
Clement Grobotek, who resides in Montpellier, France, took to Facebook last week and detailed the incident in a post. He said a car drove by him and his boyfriend, Aaron, and heard gay slurs being yelled from the vehicle. He said he shouted back and four people jumped out of the car and attacked his boyfriend, while two other men beat Garbotek.
Grobotek said Aaron was beaten so badly he still cannot speak.
"I managed to remain conscious, but when I turned around, I saw that my boyfriend was down and he had blood in the head," Grobotek wrote. He added their attackers also dragged Aaron, bruising his ribs and leaving a road-rash burn on his body.
Grobotek's lip was left swollen and he had to get stitches on his head.
Nevertheless, Grobotek is not staying silent and has a message for his attackers.
"Obviously, in addition to being intolerant, you are also cowards! But you know what? You will always be powerless!" he wrote. "You can strike and strike again, you never will remove the smile you see on my face, and will not prevent me from loving my guy more than any!"
