It’s beginning to look and sound a lot like Christmas in Wilton Manors.
The holiday lights and signs are up, there are more cars on the road, and holiday parties and performances are in full swing.
“Holiday Spectacular in the Park” takes places on Monday, Dec. 9 from 7 to 9 p.m. It’s an outdoor holiday music concert featuring internationally renowned tenor Jonathan Hawkins.
The show is performed under the stars at Wilton Manors' own Richardson Park.
“What I am looking forward to the most is the festive transformation of Richardson Park!” said Hawkins. “It's incredibly special to see the community come together for a good cause, and kick off the holidays in such a special way. Each volunteer, sponsor, spectator and performer play such a huge part in making this event a success. I love being on that stage, surrounded by such amazing talent, and seeing the joyful faces of each audience member. The holidays are such a wonderful time, meant to be shared with each other! And this event does just that. It truly brings the whole community together, in such a spectacular way. A true embodiment of what the holidays should be.”
Several guests will join Hawkins including America’s Got Talent’s Yoli Mayor, Heather Lundstedt, The Fort Lauderdale Gay Men’s Chorus, Jennifer McClain, Tommy Paduano, Eytan Deray and more.
There’s a VIP area with guaranteed premium seating, admission to a pre-event cocktail party from 5:30 to 7 p.m., along with a meet and greet with the performers.
There’s also an option for VIP table sponsorship with premium seating directly in front of the stage and can seat up to eight guests, as well as admission to the pre-show cocktail reception.
General admission attendees should bring their own chairs, blankets for lawn seating to enjoy the festivities.
Proceeds from the evening will benefit the Wilton Manors Children’s Fund. A cash bar with drinks, beer, wine, chips and snacks are available.
Ticket prices start at $20. More information is at Eventbrite.com/e/holiday-spectacular-in-the-park-2019-tickets-80696781245.
