Rosie’s Bar and Grill on Wilton Drive will host a special pop-up drive thru event Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.
All donations will go Rosie’s staff. “Rosie is cooking everything in her kitchen and giving fresh meals to you, our beautiful community family for FREE,” a Facebook post read. “You just give a donation. 100% goes directly to the amazing Rosie’s Staff.”
The restaurant will be serving burgers, sandwiches, salads and more. “Delivered to your door (well, your car door... until she runs out),” the post concludes. Candidate for Wilton Manors City Commission Chris Caputo wrote on Facebook applauding Rosie’s generosity. “Great job, Rosie’s Bar and Grill,” he said. “Look at how they are supporting their staff. Share this and consider driving by tonight.”
Wilton Manors issued an emergency declaration that went into effect Wednesday shutting down non-essential businesses like bars, gyms, bowling alleys, but exempts places like gas stations, grocery stores, and banks. As for restaurants they are still allowed to serve take out and delivery, but are barred from on premises dining. Read the emergency declaration here.
