Pink Sub and FabScout Entertainment will be giving away 50 prepared meals starting at 6 p.m. in the parking lot at Johnsons on Wilton Drive to service workers who have recently lost their job.
Dawn Holloway, owner of Pink Sub, said she and Howard Andrew, owner of FabScout Entertainment, just wanted to give something back during this challenging time.
“One thing I can do is feed people like I’ve always done,” Holloway said. “We are preparing 50 meals for anyone that is in the service industry. They have waited on all of us. Put up with our shit. It’s time to take care of them. This was not their choice to not be able to work.”
Holloway said some of her suppliers have donated vegetables, fruits and salad to the cause.
“The community has always supported me and I wanna cook for them,” Holloway continued. “We are not asking for anything in return other than please come get a meal and enjoy.”
If the event is successful Holloway said they hope to continue to serve the community on a regular basis.
