The race for the Wilton Manors City Commission is starting to get crowded with a third a person declaring his candidacy for the City Commission.

I am excited to announce my candidacy for commissioner and to assist in creating a more vibrant future for our great island city. Its time. Time for change. Time for progress. Time for new leadership,” said MikeBracchi in a prepared statement. Moving the city beyond 2020 will require common-sense development to revitalize our commercial areas while preserving the charm and character of our single-family neighborhoods.

Current commissioner Julie Carson and political newcomer Chris Caputo have already announced their candidacies.

Bracchi is a licensed pharmacist, attorney, and hospital executive who now runs his own healthcare consulting company.

The election is in November and there are two seats up for grabs.

In the release Bracchi outlined the three main points of his candidacy:

1. Fiscal Responsibility

2. Sensible Economic Development

3. Increasing Quality of Life for Residents

Bracchi serves on the Board of Directors for the Dolphin Democrats and is a member of the Wilton Manors Neighborhood Associations and Historical Society.

In addition Bracchi serves on the Wilton Manors Budget Review Advisory Committee where he works with city employees to review current and proposed operating budgets, and to make recommendations on the proposed budget for the City of Wilton Manors.
