Bruce Vilanch, a well-known comedian, will sponsor a Tuesday night dinner for out of work service workers taking place at 6 p.m. in front of Hunter’s.

Pink Sub and FabScout Entertainment started teaming up a couple of weeks ago to host these giveaways.

“I think that's extremely generous of Bruce Vilanch who lives in Los Angeles, but loves the Wilton Manors community so much that he has decided to jump in and help,” said Howard Andrew, owner of FabScout.

They’ll be serving  meatloaf, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn and a roll.

On Friday they will host another giveaway at 6 p.m. Friday in front of Hunter’s. It will be sponsored by Bruce Howe, the general manager of Hunter’s. Pat Burnside Realty will sponsor the one after that also in front of Hunter’s at 6 p.m. next Tuesday.

“We're looking for other businesses that would like to sponsor and give assistance,” Andrew said.

During this time of crisis Dawn Holloway wanted to help in some way so she turned to the thing she knows best — feeding people.

“One thing I can do is feed people like I’ve always done. We are preparing meals for anyone that is in the service industry. They have waited on all of us. Put up with our shit. It’s time to take care of them. This was not their choice to not be able to work,” said Holloway, the owner of Pink Sub. “The community has always supported me and I wanna cook for them. We are not asking for anything in return other than please come get a meal and enjoy.”

Call Howard Andrew at 954-290-6831 to volunteer, donate or sponsor a meal.
