Catch the theater’s last show ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ This Weekend
After six seasons in West Boca, Slow Burn Theatre will be closing up shop this weekend with the final performances of “Little Shop of Horrors.”
Over that time period local critics have applauded the theater’s willingness to tackle little known shows and turn them into hits.
Don’t fret though. Slow Burn isn’t closing its doors — just moving a little further south where they’ll take up residence at the Amaturo Theatre at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale.
Next season’s shows include “Big Fish,” “Violet,” “Spring Awakening,” “Heathers,” “Dogfight,” and “Romance, Romance.”
“It’s so exciting to look forward, but impossible without looking back and thanking West Boca High School for being our first home,” the founders of Slow Burn wrote in the program for Little Shop. “Thanks for taking a chance on the theatre company you’d never heard of way back when and telling your friends throughout the years.”
