Delicious drinks, fierce makeup, and O-69! Hamburger Mary’s is hosting Drag Bingo Night this Sunday, Oct. 24.

But this night of fun will address a very serious problem. All proceeds will benefit No More Tears, a South Florida organization working to help and empower victims of domestic abuse and human trafficking. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Hamburger Mary’s will open the doors at 6 p.m. and the games begin at 7 p.m. People can buy their Bingo tickets on-site by making a donation to No More Tears. The stunning and always entertaining Vauz Allen will host the night and help dole out prizes.

No More Tears has helped more than 30,000 women, children, and men break the cycle of violence and begin rebuilding their lives. Many of their clients are members of the LGBT community. Last week they helped a member of our trans community, saying, “Today @nomoretearsusa is helping a member of our trans community and we couldn’t be more proud in doing so.”

The plague of domestic violence has gotten worse throughout the COVID pandemic. No More Tears cites a report from UNWOMEN.org that says, "Since the outbreak of COVID-19, emerging data and reports from those on the front lines, have shown that all types of violence against women and girls, particularly domestic violence, has intensified."

Hamburger Mary’s is at 2426 Wilton Drive. You can learn about No More Tears at NoMoreTearsUSA.org.
