It’s finally back.
NBC confirmed gay sitcom Will & Grace is making a comeback. Debra Messing, Eric McCormack, Megan Mullally and Sean Hayes are returning for a limited 10-episode renewal.
“Will. Grace. Karen. Jack. TV’s favourite foursome is coming back to NBC!” the network wrote in the description of their announcement video.
“Okay, NOW it’s official! Will & Grace – The Reunion is Coming,” tweeted Eric McCormack.
The original show ran from 1998 until 2006 last eight seasons. Series creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan will serve as showrunners and executive producers. Director and Executive Producer James Burrows will also return, according to People.
“We’re thrilled that one of the smartest, funniest, and most defining comedies in NBC history is coming back,” NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt told People. “This groundbreaking series for everything from gay rights to social and political commentary — all disguised as a high-speed train of witty pop culture — is coming back where it belongs.”
