HGTV has featured all sorts of people on their long running show, “House Hunters” with singles, couples, heterosexuals, homosexuals, parents moving in with kids and so on, but this season the real estate juggernaut television show has pushed cultural boundaries with the first episode featuring a throuple.

The episode gave visibility to polyamorous couples by introducing Lori, Brian and Angelica who are a committed throuple as they traverse the difficult task of finding a home that fits the needs and wish lists of three personalities.

The throuple says, Buying a house together as a throuple will signify our next big step as a family of five.” The house hunt followed a family centric commitment ceremony for the throuple and their two children in Aruba earlier this year.

HGTV continues their long history of progressive programming by sharing and providing visibility to every kind of family showing viewers that families come in a variety of expressions.
