Brilliant and controversial British fashion designer Alexander McQueen was found dead in his London home Thursday after anguished Internet postings that revealed his deep sorrow at the death of his mother. He was 40 years old.

The circumstances pointed to a possible suicide but there was no official confirmation from police or McQueen's publicists. Police said the death was not suspicious, apparently ruling out foul play, and did not give any immediate indication of how the death was discovered.

The Sun tabloid on Thursday cited an anonymous source on its Web site who said an ambulance was called at 10 a.m. and workers found McQueen hanging in his apartment. The newspaper gave no further details.

Vivienne Westwood Fall 2010 Collection

Press release for Westwood’s menswear collection, for Milan Fashion Week: “Perhaps the oddest of heroes to emerge this season, Vivienne Westwood found inspiration in the roving vagrant whose daily get-up is a battle gear for the harsh weather conditions . . . Quilted bombers and snug hoodies also work well in keeping the vagrant warm.”

Your Wardrobe

Everyone wants the person they're in love with to think they look bangin' hot, and if they truly love you, there's no doubt that they should. Fashion is a category in one's relationship that stands all on it's own. Have you ever dated anyone whose wardrobe was a complete atrocity? That it is thin ice to tread, indeed.

Some of you may argue that what you or she wears is truly not a matter of importance when developing a long and lasting relationship with someone. But, really, in order to keep your attraction alive and burning bright for years to come, it's vital to nudge your love in the right direction if she happens to be a total "closet" case. Just try and not hold her ex against her in the process.
