Almost two decades have past since that fateful day in May of 1991, when agents from the State Alcohol, Beverage and Tobacco authority raided the Copa Nightclub, the largest gay club in South Florida. It was a frightening law enforcement operation that was meticulously orchestrated for maximum television coverage.
