The LCR seems to have stolen the thunder from traditional gay activists, such as the Human Rights Campaign, which is caught up in managing the useless and pointless boycott against Target. The ruling against DADT is one of a series of victories by Log Cabin Republicans on behalf of gay Americans. They have also been active in the campaign to repeal Proposition 8 in California. The LCR, with only 19,000 members across the country, seems to be kicking ass, while traditional gay activist groups and the Administration are kissing ass.

One of the lawyers who successfully argued against Prop 8, is conservative Ted Olson, one of few Republicans sympathetic to the LCR. Olson, in his eloquent Newsweek article,
