Hillary Clinton's campaign released details Sunday about her public campaign event Friday in Broward.
She'll participate in what the campaign is calling a grassroots organizing meeting. During the event, the campign said, the Democratic presidential candidate will lay out the case for her campaign and directly ask supporters to get involved.
The Clinton campaign said the event is in Fort Lauderdale, but it's actually at the Broward College central campus in Davie.
Doors open at 1 p.m. Friday at the B. George Mayer Gymnasium, 3501 Davie Road.
Clinton's main reason for traveling to South Florida is fundraising. She has a series of fundraisers in North Palm Beach, at the Fort Lauderdale home of Sharon and Mitchell Berger and in Miami Beach.
Clinton had been in South Florida earlier in the 2016 campaign season for fundraising events, on July 31 before the National Urban League national conference in Fort Lauderdale and on the same day at Florida International University for a speech on Cuba policy.
People who want to attend can RSVP here.
