With the snowbirds taking flight, Floridians get ready for the summer heat. Saturday Nite Alive is the signature summer event for Fort Lauderdale Beach. More than 20 live entertainment acts are scheduled up and down Fort Lauderdale beach, with the Atlantic Ocean as the background. The events take place every Saturday night this summer through September 3. With unique performers – from live musicians to stilt walkers – you will want to come back every Saturday night. Best of all events the along A1A just north of Las Olas stretching to Sunrise Boulevard are free!
This is the third year of Saturday Nite Live on Fort Lauderdale Beach. In addition to entertainment hotels, restaurants and bars will offer specials and reduced parking rates. Free trolley service is also available. Visitors will enjoy 25 unique restaurants, outdoor cafés, patio and oceanfront lounges and stroll along the beachfront to enjoy a selection of indoor and outdoor entertainment.
Saturday Nite Aliveoffers an “Open House Feel” of hotel resorts along the beach. Participating hotels include The W Fort Lauderdale Hotel, The Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, The Ritz-Carlton, The Atlantic Hotel and other favorite beachfront hot spots. The scheduled events are brought to you by Wizard Entertainment, Premier Beverage and supported by The City of Fort Lauderdale Community Redevelopment Agency and the Beach Business Improvement District. All beach businesses on the A1A strip from Sunrise to Los Olas Boulevards are participating in Saturday Nite Alive.
Keep an eye out for the Bahamas Junkanoo Revue. Junkanoo – if you’re not familiar with the term – are street performers featuring finely crafted costumes accompanied by vibrant, percussive music. You will not want to miss their highly spirited performances!
The Isles Casino, as the official entertainment sponsor of Saturday Nite Alive, promises hot bands like, The Hard Drinking Pickles playing live at Elbo room, and Rick the Music Shaker at Margarita Cantina.
