Nightlife: Cooler Days Ahead as Countdown to White Party Begins

We may be in the midst of the sweltering South Florida summer, but, believe it or not, we’re just a few months away from the biggest party of the fall, White Party weekend.

The discounted Florida pass for state residents is already on sale for $75 and includes admission to the all new White Party and the popular Muscle Beach dance on South Beach. Visit for more information.

In the meantime, we’ll have to settle for these hot summer offerings from South Florida’s LGBT bars, nightclubs and restaurants:

Wednesday, Aug. 3

We love the outrageous T.P. Lords and tonight she takes center stage at South Beach stalwart Twist. Resident DJ/producer Maximus 3000 will be in the booth, along with special guest Barry Huffine. Enjoy free drinks from 11 p.m. to midnight. The show starts at 1 a.m. Twist is located at 1057 Washington Ave.

Thursday, Aug. 4

For the last several months, Bar 721, 721 Lincoln Lane, tucked away behind trendy Lincoln Road has been offering big parties all week long. On Thursdays, stop by for Forplay, featuring Top 40 and house by DJ Reddy and hosted by Noel Leon. The party starts at 10 p.m.

Friday, Aug. 5

Do you wear pajamas to bed or not? Head down to The Manor tonight for the Sleazy Pajama Party. If your pajamas are sleazy enough, you could pocket $500 in cash and prizes in a special contest. Don’t miss performances by Estephania St. Lords and T-LO Ivy and sounds by DJ JPS. The Manor is located at 2345 Wilton Drive in Wilton Manors.

In Miami, it’s a sleazy night at Sugar, 2301 SW 32 Ave., as the DJ Jarell celebrates KeSha’s “Get Sleazy” tour, which stops at Barfront Park on Sunday. Join Alex Infiniti, T.P. Lords and Sasha Lords and you might get lucky and win a pair of tickets to the concert.

Saturday, Aug. 6

If Friday at The Manor isn’t sleazy enough, head to Ramrod, South Florida’s leather/Levi/uniform bar for the pig dance. This monthly party draws some of hottest and craziest guys. You’ll find the action at 1508 NE 4th Ave. in Fort Lauderdale.

Meanwhile, in Miami, Johnny’s is the spot on Saturdays with 40 dancers. YouTube sensations Jessica and Hunter are your special guest hosts and DJ TPROMIX will be running one of the best sound systems in town. As an added bonus, get $5 off admission at Discotekka with your Johnny’s wristband. Johnny’s is located at 62 NE 14th St.

Sunday, Aug. 7

In Miami, the boys are flocking to promoter Edison Farrow’s new Sunday party, House, ironically held in—you guessed it—a house, 221 NE 17th St., just a few blocks north of the Arsht Center. Doors open at 9 p.m. and there is no cover.

Monday, Aug. 8

Mojo, 4140 N. Federal Hwy. in Fort Lauderdale, not only dishes up great food, but it’s also becoming a popular nightspot. On Mondays, you can order $6 mussels and enjoy some muscles at 8 p.m. as the lights dim and DJ Daniel Kristopherre enters the booth. At 10 p.m. the liquor flows with $3 call drinks and $6 Patron Silver shots.
