In the middle of a pandemic and protests, Ivanka Trump celebrates LGBT Pride Month with tweets, asking for “less hate, more love.”
On the second day of pride month, Ivanka tweets, “Less hate, more love! #Pride2020” to show her love for the LGBT community.
This isn’t the first time the first daughter has celebrated Pride Month. In 2017, she tweeted: "Logging back on after Shavuot, wishing everyone a joyful #Pride2017. This month we celebrate and honor the #LGBTQ community.”
In a second post she wrote, "I am proud to support my LGBTQ friends and the LGBTQ Americans who have made immense contributions to our society and economy."
Ironically in 2017, President Donald Trump banned transgender people from enlisting in the military.
In a report by Business Insider, Ivanka had reportedly been blindsided by her father’s decision, believing he was in full support of the LGBT community.
She still shows her support despite Trump’s actions in the past, maintaining an “upbeat outlook” on her social media.
