A unaired television ad for Taco Bell featuring a gay couple that leaked earlier in December currently making the rounds on the internet is leaving many to wonder whether the commercial is real and if it will ever officially make it to the airwaves.
The gay-themed ad allegedly made for Taco Bell shows a gay couple picnicking, on a ferris wheel, playing skeeball, riding motorcycles, hunting for treasure and getting married has not been aired in the United States and has some wondering whether it is a hoax.
Although the ad's authenticity cannot be confirmed, Gawker points out the it appears to be professionally produced, and carries the accoutrements of any other Taco Bell commercial.
Mediate speculates that the ad may be real and that the fast food giant may have gotten "cold feet" and decided not to air the spot.
Emails from Gawker to Taco Bell's press office requesting verification have gone unreturned.
