The holidays are a time to give thanks and help those in need.

The food bank Feeding South Florida estimates more than 700,000 people are experiencing food insecurity in our region.

Pridelines is holding a community food drive for young people experiencing homelessness and families struggling to make ends meet. Pridelines’ food drive is underway. If you don’t live near a drop-off location, monetary donations work too. You can donate online at www.pridelines.org/donate.

“Each $35 feeds a family of four,” said Ken Demsey, Volunteer Coordinator at Pridelines.

“The meals go to individuals who have fallen on hard times. This year donations are more important than ever. so many people are in need.”

The food drive runs until Dec. 17. The drop-off locations are Pridelines Community Center locations in Miami and Miami Beach, Monday through Friday, from 1-7 p.m. The addresses are:

Marshmallows

Canned Mixed Vegetables
