Ryan Sorba of California Young Americans for Freedom appeared at the controversial American Conservative Union’s (ACU) Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) recently. Also in attendance, GOProud, a group that recently broke off from the Log Cabin Republicans.

The presence of GOProud was not welcome by everyone. The ultra-conservative Liberty University cancelled their own involvement in the CPAC conference, when they learned of the gay group’s presence.

Students for Liberty (not affiliated with Liberty University) representative Alexander McCobin was bold enough to thank the ACU for including GOProud in the conference.

“Not because of any politics,” said McCobin, “but because of the message that it sends. If what you care about is freedom, limited government and prosperity, this symbol is a step in the right direction.”

Sorba, however, did not care for GOProud’s presence, even though the group was not scheduled to speak. He went after the people who invited them.

“Just to change the subject for a second,” he said, “I’d like to condemn CPAC for bringing GOPride [sic] to this event,” said Sorba to a chorus of boos.

“Bring it!,” he replied. “I love it,” he added, sounding like a drunken frat boy.

“Civil rights are grounded in natural rights, natural rights are grounded in human nature, human nature is a rational…relationship, the intelligible end of the reproductive act is reproduction,” Sorba claimed, with bravado. He was booed off stage.

Sorba has gone farther than condemningly ride the coattails of the LGBT community in order to gain attention. He has penned a book yet to be picked up by a publisher, entitled “The ‘Born Gay’ Hoax.” It is a 95-page manuscript easily found online. Its catchy table of contents seeks to set “pro-sodomy” individuals back to pre-Kinsey understanding.

On a lighter note, conservative gay blogger Alex Knepper urged Sorba’s girlfriend to “give him a blowjob so he could experience the joys of sodomy.” /ASF
