A survivor of the pulse nightclub shooting spoke out against Mike Pence during an appearance on MSNBC.

Brandon Wolf appeared on Joy Reid’s show, according to PinkNews. Wolf urged viewers to focus on other important issues instead of Reid, who recently came under fire for homophobic blog posts that she made during the 2008 presidential election.

Wolf, who leads LGBT advocacy group The Dru Project, claimed Mike Pence wants to put gay people in “concentration camps” and that there were multiple homophobes in the White House.

“If Mike Pence, God bless him, ended up in the White House, sitting behind that desk in the Oval Office, he would have us all in concentration camps hoping to pray away the gay,” he said.

“They’re worried about what’s happening right now on Pennsylvania Avenue, and they’re wondering why the media didn’t rain down a firestorm on these homophobic psychopaths who are derailing the conversation and turning back the clock on everything we worked so hard on,” he said. “I guess I’m just here today to implore the viewers to stay focused on what’s actually threatening this community.”

After appearing, Wolf faced criticism and coverage from right-wing media sources, including NewsBusters and Breitbart.

“I survived my first haunt through the right-wing media circuit,” Wolf tweeted. “Initial thoughts: I thought trolls would be so much more clever.”

Reid still denies posting some of the homophobic posts to her blog, according to PinkNews. She issued an on-air apology in which she said the posts were “completely alien to me.”
