Pronouns are a thing of the past in Portland, Oregon.
The Pacific Northwest city, a flashpoint of social uprising during the 2020 elections, has removed all masculine and feminine terms from its charter.
“The language of the documents that guide the City should reflect our community,” tweeted Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler.
Wheeler, who won a hotly contested re-election bid against an Antifa-inspired candidate, added: “This important step will help make our documents more inclusive of all gender identities.”
Portland joins cities such as Philadelphia and Tulsa, Oklahoma which have gender neutralized their charters.
