SEATTLE (AP) _ Seattle police say they have arrested a 30-year-old man suspected of starting a fire at a crowded Seattle gay nightclub on New Year's Eve.

In a press release, police say they found the man on Saturday near Seattle en route to the airport.

There were 750 people celebrating in the club Neighbours when an arsonist poured gasoline on a carpeted stairway and set it ablaze. No one was hurt.

Detectives from SPD's Arson/Bomb Squad, along with members of the Joint Terrorism Task Force, have been investigating the case.

Police said they received tips from the public. They interviewed the man after the arrest and booked him into the King County Jail. No other information has been released.
