Taylor Swift has another hater to shake off: Anti-gay pastor Larry Tomczak.
According to Gay Star News, Tomczak suggests Swift is being used as a pawn in the gay agenda to "turn" kids gay. He claims that by appearing on TV shows like "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," Swift will draw an audience of young girls, allowing host Ellen DeGeneres to share "immoral," "unnatural" and "shameful" lifestyle on her audience.
"Are you really aware of this avalanche sweeping across our society today?" Tomczak wrote in a Christian Post column called "Are You Aware of the Avalanche of Gay Programming Assaulting Your Home?". "It's not a trickle, it's a tsunami!"
He also said the LGBT community and gay rights activists are inflating the number of LGBT people in the U.S. to make being queer normal.
"A while ago I was in New York's Greenwich Village sharing a meal when I engaged my waiter with this question, 'Are there a lot of gay people in the Village?'" Tomczak wrote. "With a sly smile and twinkle in his eye he retorted, 'Everybody in the Village is gay!'"
Maybe the reality is that Tomczak is a little more sheltered than the rest of us.
Anyway, he goes on to tackle TV, pointing out the gay characters on shows like "Glee," "Modern Family," "Scandal" and "Two and A Half Men."
"Super hyped 'Empire' series starts with Oscar nominee Terrence Howard having a homosexual son -- and he's a hunk," Tomczak wrote. "Ellen DeGeneres celebrates her lesbianism and 'marriage' in between appearances of guests like Taylor Swift to attract young girls."
His solution? He urges parents of children who consume music and TV to buy shows like "Little House on the Prairie" and force them to watch that. But if their kids happen to watch a current program or listen to the radio, Tomczak asks parents to lecture their kids about "God's design for a man and a woman and the sanctity of marriage."
"As 'salt' and 'light' Christians, we represent a bulwark against this tidal wave of unprecedented evil," Tomczak wrote. "May all of us be found faithful and vigilant at our posts."
