After returning from a trip to Israel organized by the anti-gay hate group Family Research Council last week, former U.S. Rep. and failed 2012 GOP presidential hopeful called on citizens in the Jewish state to abandon their faith and embrace Jesus Christ, The New York Daily News reports.
"The Holy Spirit is speaking to each one of us to be faithful in the Kingdom and help bring in as many as we can," Bachmann said to FRC's president Tony Perkins on FRC Radio last week. "Even among the Jews."
But why, according to Bachmann, after 2,000 years, should Jews embrace Christ now?

It's been a banner year for Bachmann since leaving Congress.
In April, she became the butt of a joke told by President Barack Obama at the annual White House Correspondents Dinner over comments she made linking the U.S. foreign policy on Iran and gay rights to the upcoming rapture. In September, she warned that the U.S. may be destroyed like Sodom and Gomorrah. And in July, she made her film debut in "Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!"
As for her recent trip to Israel, according to The Daily News, she left with a "warm fuzzy feeling."
