EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - A man facing an Aug. 11 trial for sex abuse alongside Oregon gay rights activist Terry Bean has been sentenced in a separate meth possession case.
The Eugene Register-Guard reports (http://bit.ly/1TOIVUI) 26-year-old Kiah Loy Lawson was sentenced to probation and 20 days in jail for possessing meth and supplying contraband.
The sex abuse case against Lawson and Bean stems from a September 2013 incident when police say a 15-year-old boy met the men at a hotel and was given money for the encounter.
