Local Teams Compete in Gay Softball World Series in Kansas City 

The Gay World Series in Kansas City Via North American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance

This week Kansas City is hosting the Gay Softball World Series. Fort Lauderdale sent nine teams to compete.  

The local teams are in the middle of playing four non-elimination games on Wednesday, before the double elimination tournament starts Thursday.

Those teams include: Stampede;Super Villains; Felicias, Riptide; The Coalition; Hot Hitters; Alive and Kicking; Code Blue; and the Silverhawks. 
The World Series is organized through the North American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance. This year a record breaking 207 teams arecompeting from 46 cities across North America.

Ed Vincent is in Kansas City playing for the Silverhawks, and is also the Commissioner of the South Florida Amateur Athletic Association, which oversees local gay softball. 

“Sending a big thank you to the Kansas City World Series Planning Committee. The BBQ is amazing, good fields, perfect weather, so far we are having an awesome time in Kansas City,” Vincent said.
