Equality Forum will present awards honoring House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and Philadelphia Host Committee of the 2016 Democratic National Convention Ed Rendell through the LGBT Champion Awards.

The ceremony will take place on Thursday, July 28 from 4:30 p.m. through 6 p.m. at the National Museum of American Jewish History’s Third Floor Freedom Experience in Philadelphia, PA.

Pelosi will be awarded The International Role Model Award, the “nation’s longest-standing recognition of activists and allies who have advanced LGBT civil rights,” according to the Equality Forum website. Pelosi, the first woman to take on Speaker of the House, joins previous recipients Judy Shepard, Barney Frank and Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien.

Plaintiff of the landmark Supreme Court Marriage Equality Case Jim Obergefell will present the award to Pelosi.

Rendell is the recipient of the Frank Kameny Award, named after the “father of the LGBT civil rights movement,” the website reads. Rendell has served in public office for 24 years, with two terms as the mayor of Philadelphia.

Malcolm Lazin, executive director of Equality Forum, will present Rendell’s Frank Kameny Award. Lazin is the founder of LGBT History Month.
