American Family Association governmental affairs director Sandy Rios may possibly be the most odious human in North America. And that includes Robert Durst and the surviving members of the Manson Family.

In a recent broadcast of her American Family Radio program, Rios chided church officials and Republican members of congress for supporting bipartisan legislation to combat sex trafficking - even though it contains an anti-abortion add-in. Claiming the trafficking of human beings as sex slaves is "overblown," Rios would prefer that energies were channeled to fighting the real enemy. You guessed it - the gays. Worse yet, she drags God into her argument, Right Wing Watch reports.

"This is the thing that bothers me: I see ministries and churches jumping on the bandwagon, they are all about saving the women who have been sexually trafficked, this is their great sacrifice, this is their great stand on social issues," Rios said. "At the same time will not say a word, not a peep, about homosexual marriage, hardly anything about homosexuality and what God says about it because that, you see, would cost something. But sexual trafficking, you see, 'we're outraged about that,' not so much about gay marriage because that might be a little icky, we might offend people in the congregation. But sexual trafficking, that's huge."

According to Wikipedia, the U.S. Department of State's statistics show that there are approximately 244,000 American children and youth that are at risk for sex trafficking each year.
