Legislative leaders say no vote will happen this year on Georgia's Religious Freedom Restoration Act.

Thursday marks the 40th and final day of the legislative session. Any bills not approved by lawmakers before midnight are dead for the year.

The proposal prompted a debate on anti-gay discrimination and protests outside the Capitol.

House Speaker David Ralston says the bill went through the House's committee process but was not sent forward.
