Carole Baskins comes out as bisexual, Cara Delevingne becomes co-owner of sex toy company Lora DiCarlo, and Hallmark’s first LGBT Christmas movie premieres.

Cara Delevingne, a British actress and model, recently announced Nov. 19 she is the co-owner of a sex toy company, Lora DiCarlo.

“There was a big gap in the market for female-led brands,” she told Just Jared.

Lora DiCarlo, who founded the company, said she loves Delevingne because of how her ideas align so cohesively with the company's overall goal.

DiCarlo told W Magazine, that their ultimate mission is to “Destigmatize taboos surrounding sexual health and wellness in broader society today.”

Delevingne is excited to be able to give the gift of “pleasure” with her own two hands. “This means more to me than any job I've ever done,” Delevingne said.

Delevingne will be working closely with the in-house engineers and design team, DiCarlo noted. Giving the company a chance to expand and fill specific needs in the sex industry.

Hallmark’s first-ever LGBT holiday film aired Sunday, Nov. 22.

“The Christmas House,” stars “Mean Girls” actor Jonathan Bennett, alongside Robert Buckley, Ana Ayora, Treat Williams and Sharon Lawrence, according to NBC News.

This will be marked as Bennett’s third movie with Hallmark. The plot of the story focuses on a gay couple who is looking to adopt a child during the holiday season.

Back in the 2019 holiday season, Hallmark was criticized for releasing its list of holiday movies, which did not feature an LGBT character.

Hallmark told The Warp back in 2019 that they were aware of the lack of LGBT movies, and promised to continue to expand their diversity.

They lived up to their word this holiday season and are making history, since this is their first LGBT Christmas movie.

“I’m proud of everyone at Hallmark Channel for making the holiday table bigger and more welcoming and warmer this year,” Bennett told NBC News.

Hallmark has indeed tried to incorporate more of the LGBT community into their channel. Besides the release of “The Christmas House,” they aired their first same-sex wedding in the TV movie, “Wedding Every Weekend,” according to NBC News.

“What I love about the characters in the movie is that we aren’t caricatures or stereotypes … We are two loving, stable, kind men who are in love and want to start a family of our own,” Bennett told NBC News.

Bennett is hoping that the LGBT community will be proud of the movie. He stressed how representation is important, but how “correct representation” is even more important.

Carole Baskins, who is well-known for her appearance on the Tiger King documentary and founder of Big Cat Rescue, came out as bisexual Oct. 20.

The Tiger King star questioned her sexuality from childhood, from doing a lot of “Male-oriented things,” according to USA Today.

Baskins told USA Today that it was in the ‘80s, when she found out that she had equal feelings for women. The time she had spent with the LGBT community, during her time engaged to a psychologist back in the ‘80s, opened her eyes to who she truly was.

“I could just as easily have a wife as a husband,” she told Pink News.

Baskins non-profit animal rescue organization has also had some tough times during the pandemic, but her recent and unsuccessful “Dancing With the Stars” stunt, helped to bring in some money for the organization.
