Gay porn star Rylan Knox has died in apparent suicide, according to a report by Str8UpGayPorn (NSFW).

The website reports Knox "died after hanging himself in his boyfriend's apartment" on April 29 around 7:30 p.m. The announcement of his death was reportedly first revealed by Knox's friend, gay porn star Nick Cross, who posted a number of tweets asking his followers to "cherish [their] lives."

A number of Knox's friends and colleagues took to Twitter to react to the news of his death.

"RIP @KnoxRylan :((((," Cross tweeted.

"A colleague of mine took his life today please please please Love thy self & everyone around you," porn actor Ryan Rose wrote.

"I wish we could've talked before you did this @KnoxRylan :'( rest in peace buddy :'(," porn star Colt Rivers tweeted.

Str8UpGay porn calls Knox, who is said to reside in Florida, a "newcomer" to the gay porn industry but notes he performed in several scenes for GayCastings, Falcon, NakedSword and Hot House over the last year.

Knox's suicide comes not long after Corbin Fischer model Christopher Luke McAteer, who performed under the name "Clay," took his own life after he allegedly fired round at the restaurant where he worked. He was 18.
