A Virginia man took to Instagram this week to post the injuries he suffered after he was allegedly attacked in his home on Christmas Day, the Mirror reports.

Robert Drew Inge was left with a black eye and facial scars after someone he said he "barely knew" allegedly assaulted him on Dec. 25. On Facebook, Inge, a hairstylist from Yorktown, Va., reportedly wrote: "I was thrown into my bathtub, and stomped in the face and jaw over and over while being called a 'faggot.'"

He said his assailant "slammed my fingers on my right hand into the door, breaking them and ripping them open."

"I was attacked, beaten, held against my will, stabbed in the face with a metal object and am now recovering," Inge later added on an Instagram post.

Inge was able to break free and said he called the police. He said the man who he says attacked him was arrested on a number of charges. The suspect remains unnamed at this time.

Inge said he's taking a few weeks off work to heal from his injuries.

"I won't be able to work as one of the injuries I sustained was my fingers I use to cut hair being crushed," he wrote. "I don't know the extent of damage done to my fingers but I will be back to do hair in a few weeks hopefully, and I won't let anything stop me."

A fundraising page has been set up to help Inge pay for his treatment, which includes "dental work to have teeth that were stomped out of my face fixed." In the post, Inge calls the incident a "hate crime." As of this writing, he has earned $6,320 out of his $10,000 goal. Click here to donate.
