This week read about David Archuleta opening up about his sexuality, retired basketball star Dwyane Wade becoming a strong LGBT ally, and speculations of Billie Eilish coming out in her new music video.

David Archuleta Comes Out

For all the “American Idol” fans out there, it is a must-know that David Archuleta has just come out.

The 30-year-old singer and songwriter took to Instagram to share this in a heartfelt and lengthy post.

“I’ve been open to myself and my close family for some years now that I am not sure about my own sexuality. I came out in 2014 as gay to my family … Then I also have learned I don’t have too many sexual desires and urges as most people which works I guess because I have a commitment to save myself until marriage. Which people call asexual when they don’t experience sexual urges,” he said in his post.

Archuleta, being a Mormon missionary, just wants everyone to understand and accept the feelings of those in the LGBT community.

He also stated, “I think we can do better as people of faith and Christians, including Latter-day Saints, to listen more to the wrestle between being LGBTQIA+ and a person of faith. There are more than you may realize going through that wrestle after all the misunderstandings ...  I don’t think it should come down to feeling you have to accept one or the other. For me to find peace the reality has been to accept both are real things I experience and make who I am,” he wrote on Instagram.

The second-place winner of season seven of “American Idol” could not have picked a better time to come out. Stay true to yourself Archuleta!

Dwyane Wade: Basketball and Parent Superstar

Retired basketball star Dwyane Wade, has had his fair share of practice on the court as well as off the court.

Wade says that his daughter Zaya has helped him become a strong ally of the LGBT community. Not only making him more knowledgeable about the community and the hardships that the community faces, but also helping him become a stronger parent according to OUT.

He said in an interview with Today, “I didn't know anything, really wasn't knowledgeable about the LGBTQ+ community. What it has done is open my eyes and my ears to something greater and bigger than I, and my daughter has allowed us gracefully to be her support system.”

For Wade, growing up in the inner cities of Chicago had reinforced a certain way of thinking when it came to gender identification, OUT wrote.

Supporting his daughter Zaya has helped Wade grow not only as a parent, but as a person as well. Expanding his knowledge of the LGBT community and becoming an ally.

Fans of the renowned pop star Billie Eilish, are speculating if she came out or not.

Eilish, following the release of her new music video “Lost Cause,” has been buzzing around the LGBT community. Fans have come to a conclusion to think that this music video may really be a coming-out kind of music video.

In the video Eilish throws an all-girls slumber party, a pretty seductive slumber party at that.

Fans also took to Eilish’s Instagram, where she posted a picture with the girls from her video, with a caption reading, “I love girls."

At the moment however, the proof is not directly in the pudding. Eilish is infamously private about her life away from the glamour and glitz, and her hardcore fans have started to find out more about the icon through her reality show called “The World's A Little Blurry,” according to Pride.

Well it's safe to say that Eilish fans are definitely on the fences to hear what the pop star has in store for them next.
