DALLAS, TX (KDAF) -- Big D could soon stand for Big Destination Weddings. That's if Dallas tourism officials have it their way. And they have one particular group in mind — the LGBT community.

Heck, just last week, Jennifer Hudson gave a surprise performance for two grooms at Dallas' W Hotel as part of the "Turn it Up for Change" campaign.But is Dallas really a destination out-of-towners will want to come and get hitched?

Hey, why the heck not? Dallas ain't so bad, y'all. We've got gorgeous churches and synagogues, romantic restaurants and the Best Skyline in the World!

And Dallas County hasn't hesitated to be gay-friendly either. The first same-sex marriage license was issued just hours after the SCOTUS decision, unlike some places like Hood County.

Whatever you think about gay marriage, there's a lot of loot at stake here. Who knows, maybe the next big thing will be flying your friends to Dallas for a Texas-sized wedding.
