Cynthia Nixon will now sell “unqualified lesbian” pins after a New York politician bestowed the moniker on her.

The “Sex and the City” actor was called that phrase by Christine Quinn, according to LGBTQ Nation. Quinn had previously feuded with Nixon after she supported Bill de Blasio over her in the New York City mayoral race in 2013.

“Cynthia Nixon was opposed to having a qualified lesbian become mayor of New York City,” Quinn said after Nixon’s candidacy announcement. “Now she wants to be an unqualified lesbian to be the governor of New York. You have to be qualified and have experience. She isn’t qualified to be the governor.”

After Quinn’s remarks, Nixon later turned the phrase into a campaign slogan for her run in the New York gubernatorial race. Nixon is offering the pins for a $5 contribution to her campaign.
