"GOProud", a republican gay organization who's been under fire as of late, has just announced an event headlined by conservative attorney and author Ann Coulter.

The event, "Homocon 2010", is being held in New York City on September 25th, with VIP tickets going for as much as $2500.

In a statement on their web site, GOProud's chairman Christopher Barron states “The gay left has done their best to take all the fun out of politics, with their endless list of boycotts and protests. Homocon is going to be our annual effort to counter the ‘no fun police’ on the left, I can’t think of any conservative more fun to headline our inaugural party then the self-professed ‘right-wing Judy Garland’ – Ann Coulter. I can promise you, Homocon 2010 will be a hell of a lot more fun than chaining yourself to the White House fence.”

GOProud was under fire this summer for accepting $16,000 in contributions from, and holding an event at, the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego, a gay-boycotted hotel that financially contributed to Proposition 8.
