'It's About Love’ Music Video by The Mowgli’s Celebrates LGBT Equality

“It’s About Love,” a heartfelt music video recently released by The Mowgli’s, is a commemoration of the marriage equality victories in the 2012 election, as well as a dedication to those in the gay community whose political race succeeded at the ballots.

The song is played in the background, while cascades of photographs are shown of newly elected LGBT political leaders, marriage equality supporters, and hand-written inspirational messages. The video concluded with the words of President Obama, “We are not a nation that says ‘don’t ask, don’t tell.’ We are a nation that says out of many, we are one.”

The Mowgli’s are a California band, founded by five childhood friends from the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles.  The band recently released their new LP, “Loves Not Dead;” including such songs as “San Francisco” and “The Great Divide.”  Their music is somewhere between indie-pop and country, with a twist of rock ‘n’ roll. According to The Collective CA, The Mowgli’s don't quite fit within any one certain genre, but the bands message-driven songs have created a wave of followers.

The band is scheduled to perform in several cities in California, including San Francisco on November 29th, and in West Hollywood on November 30th; additional dates and venues can be found on their Facebook page.
