Ballet Gala

Get ready for clowns, intrigue, and magic, not to mention more wonderful dancing, as Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida gears up for its last performance of the season. Artistic Director, Vladimir Issaev, is bringing back Harlequinade, a ballet that has been all but forgotten, and once again, his creativity and ingenuity combine with his reverence for the classics, allowing him to create a ballet that sparkles with fresh inspiration while still remaining true to its roots. Along with Harlequinade, the company is bringing back the neo-classical Glinka Suite Fantastique, Don Quixote, El Encuentro, and Spring Waters. Jazz on the Latin Side: Negroni’s Trio

Pianist/composer José Negroni, drummer Nomar Negroni and bassist Marco Panascia are one of Miami’s hottest jazz ensembles. Their “straight ahead” jazz weaves dramatic lyricism punctuated by explosive rhythmical play. Negroni blazes “a percussive trail and dares his audience to keep up” -- All About Jazz.
