Three Concerts Kick Season Into High Gear

The summer concert season is just getting started and there is no better place to be this week than West Palm Beach.  Classic Rock meets Country with three outstanding shows that promise to bring audiences to their feet.  It all kicks off with Yes and special guest Peter Frampton on Tuesday and ends with a farewell performance of one of country music’s most influential groups.

YES and Peter Frampton – The two legendary performers are bringing their national reunion tour back to the Sunshine State.  The artists’ combined performances will feature more than three hours of music from the Grammy Award winners, including such YES classics as “I’ve Seen All Good People,” “Starship Trooper,” as well as Frampton hits “Show Me The Way,” “Baby, I Love Your Way” and “Do You Feel Like We Do.” June 8 at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets start at $35.

Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bret Michaels and 38 Special - Few acts can overshadow a headliner, but in this case, the showstopper is likely to be the return of Bret Michaels.  The former Poison front man comes to South Florida to perform after a myriad of recent health incidents.  After winning The Celebrity Apprentice and a surprise appearance on American Idol, Michaels is ready to rock.  He will surely be performing classic Poison tunes such as “Every Rose Has Its Thorn”, “Talk Dirty to Me” and “Nothin’ but a Good Time”.  Lest we forget the unmistakable sound of Lynyrd Skynyrd and 38 Special and this show will mostly be one of the best shows of the summer.  June 10 at the Cruzan Amphitheatre.  Tickets start at $34.

Brooks & Dunn with Jason Aldean – If the return of a rock legend wasn’t enough to whet your appetite, then maybe Brooks & Dunn’s farewell performance may.  The duo has been performing for 20 years and this tour marks the end of the road for the most celebrated duo in country music history.  Come to the “Last Rodeo” and sing along with Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn as they perform their unforgettable hits, “Boot Scootin’ Boogie”, “Red Dirt Road” and “My Maria”.  June 12 at the Cruzan Amphitheatre.    Tickets start at $39.
