Extreme winter conditions mean something completely different in South Florida. While much of the country is bundled up, we’re taking off our shirts and partying like it’s the middle of June.
The 30th Anniversary Winter Party Festival is underway down in Miami Beach. After a fun welcome party for the entire community on March 1 the big parties get underway with a VIP invitation only party on Thursday at the Esmé hotel.
Like all good South Florida soirées, the nighttime parties don’t even open until 10 p.m. After the VIP event, the party moves to Exchange Miami, near The Royal Palm, for the always popular Ignite. Jace M and J Warren will manage the beats all night.
Friday
Winter Party fans will want to use a vacation day on Friday, and need to be finished nursing their hangovers by lunch. Elevate Pool Party starts at 1 p.m. at Royal Palm South Beach, with DJs Cesar Hernandz and Danny Verde kicking off the day.
The evening starts with a free event. Localization is at Palace Rooftop starting at 7 p.m. Surprise guests and DJs will set the tone for the night.
Once that wraps up, the party moves to Studio 60 Night Club for the Heat party. Houston’s Marti Frieson gets the grooves started, and will be followed by Israeli sensation DJ Orel Sabag who’s bringing Brazilian beats.
Saturday
Saturday brings more of what South Florida does best: pool party by day and sweaty dancing by night. The Under One Sun pool party starts at 1 p.m. at Oasis Wynwood with DJs Ana Flor and Micky Friedman. To celebrate the 30th anniversary, this pool party goes until 8 p.m., long after the sun has set on the Magic City.
That just leaves a couple of hours to grab a bite and get ready for the biggest party of the weekend, Saturday Night Fever. The event returns to M2 (formerly The Mansion) and its 35,000 square feet of fun. It will be a long night (or an early morning) because the party goes until 7 a.m.
Sunday
Sunday puts the “beach” in Miami Beach, with The Beach Party going down at the Sands of South Beach. DJ Abel is in for a marathon day, spinning for the entire day from 1-8 p.m.
That night the party moves back to M2 for the Heroes & Villains party with DJs Yinon Yahel and Mor Avrahami. Breakout your sexiest costumes and party the night away. Good guys are welcomed, bad boys are encouraged.
Monday
If your adrenaline is still flowing and your liver is still functioning, the party wraps up on Monday.
Afterglow is technically a Monday event, but it is really a continuation of Heroes & Villains. It starts at 5 a.m. at Studio 60 Nightclub with DJ Tom Stepham and goes until noon.
After getting some sleep, food, and replenishing your electrolytes, there’s one last bash, Finale at LVL One. DJs Cindel and Nina Flowers will work the night away at the new venue from 10 p.m.-5 a.m.
